Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls is the unfinished business of our time, and one of the greatest human rights challenges in our world. While there has been some progress over the decades, gender disparities remain in economic and political realms and violence against women in all its forms is still prevalent.
EUTEC Chamber is clearly committed to bring gender equality to the top of the agenda. To contribute to the progress, we have established a Women in Tech Commission with the aim to provide a platform for cross-cultural and cross-industry exchange, to provide thought leadership and reach tangible change. We see gender equality in society, economy, and technology – as a critical transformational catalyzer – as a fundamental blueprint for a sustainable future.
Let us all work together for a future in which all children independent of gender can go to school, no girls are forced into early marriage, more women in STEM and leadership positions, as well as laws being passed to advance gender equality. We want to bring female leaders of the technological world together and make joint efforts to support, encourage and stand with women from all walks of life. The challenges will be discussing, designing, and implementing the appropriate strategies and measures for an inclusive ecosystem.
