20 April – EU Tech Chamber Women In Tech Commission – Topic: How Women can Excel in Technology

A diverse workplace creates much better ideas that move businesses forward. Getting a variety of women involved in information technology occupations is essential to growing the STEM industry.

Historically being a male-dominated industry and lacking the right mentorship, it makes it hard for young women to envision themselves in technology roles. The STEM industry can be very lonely for female professionals simply because there are so few women in the field – and that is a great reason to start taking actions in increasing women in technology and taking over leadership roles!

With only 17% of people in the tech specialist roles are women and only 8% of partners of the top 100 venture firms globally are women – we need to come together let women elevate opportunities to grow and excel.

Women should know that their skills and perspectives are wanted and needed in technology, and although it can be challenging at times, it also can be very rewarding. We need to urge women in technology to speak up, shape up, and shake up the status quo – now more then ever! Women can lead digital transformation for financial inclusion, to monitor global community health, enrich education and make it more accessible, enable high tech for climate change, etc.

We are all in need of AI and high technology techniques. And what we need more than ever is the creative use of artificial intelligence. Join us on April 20th 9.00 am CEST at the upcoming Digital Event on the important topic “How Women can Excel in Technology” for one empowering discussion!
