Due to the corona virus, EUTEC held their two planned breakfast talks last week (Brussels and Düsseldorf) digitally. Both talks were a great success and gave all participants the chance to exchange their ideas on technology and how it can also help to prevent the virus spreading these days. After our event, we received further inquiries and discussions about the extent to which digital tools can prevent the spread of the virus. For this reason, EUTEC has decided to hold another digital call about “Digital Tools to Stop Corona” on Tuesday 24 March.
With the current spread of COVID-19, many companies are already trying to make arrangements to accommodate remote working, to help reduce the spread of the corona virus and help to limit the impact on productivity. The situation clearly forces rethinking work in the digital age. Digitization is making the traditional working environment change, adapt and evolve, and we will introduce our members and partners to modern ways of working together digitally and in this way prevent the virus from spreading. The new digital workplace also has challenges: security, employee digital etiquette & expectations, and expectations of always being “online”, and also creates its own culture impacting the previous work culture.
The detailed discussions will touch on the above issues as well as focusing on the currently available tools such as Video Conferencing, Team Collaboration and others. In the end, virtual meetings make your business unit more productive and are the basis for more attractive workplace models such as home office and flexible working hours.
